JASPENDIK: Jurnal Aspirasi Pendidikan is committed to upholding high ethical standards in all aspects of the publication process. We adopt the principles of publication ethics outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All parties involved in the publication process—authors, editors, reviewers, and publishers—are expected to adhere to the following ethical guidelines:
Originality and Plagiarism:
Authors must ensure that their submitted work is original and free from plagiarism. Proper credit must be given for all sources used, with accurate citations.
Multiple Submissions:
Authors must not submit the same or substantially similar manuscripts to more than one journal simultaneously.
Acknowledgment of Sources:
Authors should acknowledge all sources that have contributed to their research and provide proper citations for referenced works.
Authorship Contribution:
Only individuals who have made a significant contribution to the research and writing of the manuscript should be listed as authors. All listed authors must approve the final version of the manuscript and agree to its submission.
Conflict of Interest:
Authors must disclose any financial or substantive conflicts of interest that could influence the interpretation or outcomes of their research.
Significant Errors in Published Work:
If authors discover a significant error or inaccuracy in their published work, they must promptly notify the journal editor and cooperate in retracting or correcting the article.
Publication Decisions:
Editors are responsible for deciding which articles will be published based on the validity of the work and its importance to the readership. This decision should be guided by peer review and the journal’s editorial policies.
Fair Evaluation:
Editors must evaluate manuscripts solely on their intellectual merit, without regard to the authors’ race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy.
Confidentiality:
Editors must maintain the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts and must not disclose any information about a manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, and the publisher.
Conflict of Interest:
Editors must not use unpublished information disclosed in a submitted manuscript for their own research without the author’s written consent.
Contribution to Editorial Decisions:
Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions and may also help authors improve the manuscript through constructive feedback.
Fairness and Objectivity:
Reviewers must provide objective, constructive, and unbiased evaluations of the manuscript. Personal criticism of the authors is inappropriate.
Confidentiality:
All manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. Reviewers must not discuss the manuscript with others without the editor’s permission.
Acknowledgment of Sources:
Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors. They must also inform the editor of any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under review and any other published work known to them.
Conflict of Interest:
Reviewers should not review manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships with any of the authors, institutions, or entities connected to the manuscript.
Integrity:
The publisher must support the editors in maintaining the integrity of the academic record and assist in investigations of suspected ethical violations.
Editorial Independence:
The publisher must ensure that editorial decisions are made independently and are not influenced by commercial or political factors.
