PEER REVIEW PROCESS

1. Manuscript Submission

Authors submit their articles through the online submission system of JASPENDIK: Jurnal Aspirasi Pendidikan. All manuscripts must comply with the established author guidelines.

2. Initial Check by the Editor

Once a manuscript is received, the editor conducts an initial check to ensure that it aligns with the journal’s scope and adheres to the author guidelines. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria will be returned to the authors for revision.

3. Reviewer Selection

If the manuscript passes the initial check, the editor assigns two or more reviewers with expertise relevant to the topic of the article. Reviewers are selected from the journal’s pool of peer reviewers.

4. Peer Review Process

JASPENDIK: Jurnal Aspirasi Pendidikan uses a double-blind peer review process, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept anonymous. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on the following criteria:

  • Quality and originality of the research

  • Relevance to the journal’s scope

  • Research methodology

  • Data analysis and interpretation

  • Quality of writing and article structure

5. Reviewer Recommendations

After completing their review, reviewers provide recommendations to the editor, which may be one of the following:

  • Accept without revision: The article is accepted for publication with no changes required.

  • Accept with minor revisions: The article can be accepted after minor revisions by the author.

  • Accept with major revisions: The article can be accepted after significant revisions by the author.

  • Reject: The article is not suitable for publication.

6. Editor’s Decision

The editor considers the reviewers’ recommendations and makes the final decision on the manuscript. The decision, along with the reviewers’ feedback, is communicated to the author.

7. Revision by the Author

If revisions (minor or major) are required, authors must revise their manuscript based on the feedback provided by the reviewers and editor. The revised manuscript must be resubmitted through the journal’s online submission system within the specified timeframe.

8. Re-Review by Reviewers (If Necessary)

For major revisions, the revised manuscript may be sent back to the original reviewers for a second review. Reviewers will evaluate whether the authors have adequately addressed all the issues identified in the initial review.

9. Final Decision

Once the revised manuscript is reviewed and approved, the editor makes the final decision on the acceptance of the article. Authors will be notified of this decision and, if accepted, the article will be scheduled for publication.

10. Publication

Accepted articles will be published in an upcoming issue of the journal. Authors will receive the final proof of the article for review before publication.

11. Review Ethics

Reviewers are expected to adhere to ethical standards in conducting reviews, including maintaining the confidentiality of the manuscript and providing constructive and objective feedback.
