PEER REVIEW PROCESS
Manuscript Submission
Authors must submit their manuscripts through the online submission system of MADANI: Jurnal Kajian Sosial, Budaya, Agama dan Pendidikan. All manuscripts must comply with the established author guidelines.
Initial Screening by the Editor
Once submitted, the manuscript undergoes an initial screening by the editor to ensure it aligns with the journal’s scope and adheres to the author guidelines. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria will be returned to the authors for revision.
Reviewer Selection
If the manuscript passes the initial screening, the editor will assign two or more reviewers who have expertise relevant to the article's topic. Reviewers are selected from the journal’s peer reviewer database.
Peer Review Process
MADANI: Jurnal Kajian Sosial, Budaya, Agama dan Pendidikan uses a double-blind peer review process, meaning that the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept anonymous. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on the following criteria:

Quality and originality of the research

Relevance to the journal’s scope

Data analysis and interpretation

Quality of writing and article structure
Reviewer Recommendations
Upon completing their evaluation, reviewers will submit one of the following recommendations to the editor:

Accept without revision: The article can be published as it is.

Accept with minor revisions: The article can be accepted after the author makes small changes.

Accept with major revisions: The article may be accepted after substantial revisions are made.

Reject: The article is not suitable for publication.
Editorial Decision
The editor will consider the reviewers’ recommendations and make the final decision regarding the manuscript. The decision, along with reviewer feedback, will be communicated to the author.
Author Revisions
If revisions are required (minor or major), the author must revise the manuscript in accordance with the feedback provided by the reviewers and editor. The revised manuscript must be resubmitted via the journal’s online submission system within the specified timeframe.
Re-review by Reviewer (If Necessary)
For major revisions, the revised manuscript may be returned to the original reviewers for re-evaluation. The reviewers will assess whether the author has adequately addressed all issues raised during the initial review.
Final Decision
Once the revised manuscript has been reviewed and approved, the editor will make the final decision on its acceptance. The author will be notified, and if accepted, the article will be scheduled for publication.
Publication
Accepted articles will be published in an upcoming issue of the journal. Authors will receive the final proof of the article for review before publication.
Review Ethics
Reviewers are expected to adhere to high ethical standards during the review process, including maintaining the confidentiality of manuscripts and providing constructive, objective feedback.
