PUBLICATION ETHICS

CENDEKIA: Jurnal Ilmiah Multidisipliner is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. This statement is based on the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

All parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, reviewers, and publisher, are expected to comply with ethical standards as described below.

Ethical Responsibilities of Authors

Authors must ensure that:

Originality and Plagiarism

Authors submit only original work and properly cite or quote the work and ideas of others.

Plagiarism in all forms, including self-plagiarism, is unacceptable.

Multiple or Concurrent Submission

Authors must not submit the same manuscript simultaneously to more than one journal.

Submitted manuscripts must not have been previously published or accepted elsewhere.

Authorship of the Manuscript

Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant scholarly contributions to the research and manuscript preparation.

All co-authors must approve the final version of the manuscript prior to submission.

Data Integrity

Authors must present accurate data and findings without fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate manipulation.

Authors should be prepared to provide raw data if requested by the editorial team.

Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest

Authors must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal conflicts of interest that may influence the research.

Acknowledgment of Sources

Authors must properly acknowledge all sources, references, funding, and contributions relevant to the manuscript.

Fundamental Errors in Published Works

If authors discover significant errors after publication, they must promptly notify the editor and cooperate in correction or retraction procedures.

Editors are responsible for:

Editors evaluate manuscripts solely based on academic merit, originality, clarity, significance, and relevance to the journal scope.

Fair Play

Editors must assess manuscripts without discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, institutional affiliation, or political beliefs.

Confidentiality

Editors must maintain confidentiality regarding submitted manuscripts and not disclose information to unauthorized parties.

Conflict of Interest

Editors must not use unpublished materials from submitted manuscripts for personal research without written consent from authors.

Handling Misconduct

Editors are responsible for responding appropriately to suspected ethical violations, plagiarism, or publication misconduct.

Reviewers are expected to:

Confidentiality

Treat all manuscripts as confidential documents and not share or discuss them with others.

Objectivity

Review manuscripts objectively without personal criticism of authors.

Identify relevant published work not cited by authors and report any suspected overlap or plagiarism.

Conflict of Interest

Decline review assignments when conflicts of interest exist.

Publisher Responsibilities

The publisher supports the editorial board in maintaining academic integrity and ethical publishing practices.

The publisher does not interfere with editorial decisions and remains committed to ensuring long-term accessibility and preservation of published content.

Corrections, Retractions, and Withdrawals

If ethical issues, major errors, or misconduct are identified, the journal may publish:

in accordance with COPE guidelines and editorial evaluation.

Policy on Plagiarism

All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software.

The journal allows a maximum similarity index of 25%, excluding references and properly cited quotations.

Manuscripts found to contain plagiarism may be rejected, returned for revision, or retracted after publication.
