AUTHOR GUIDELINES

Authors who intend to submit manuscripts to CENDEKIA: Jurnal Ilmiah Multidisipliner are required to follow the guidelines below to ensure an efficient editorial and review process.

General Requirements

  1. The manuscript must be an original scholarly work that has not been published previously and is not under review or consideration by another journal.
  2. The journal accepts the following types of manuscripts:
    • Original Research Articles
    • Literature Reviews
    • Systematic Reviews
    • Scoping Reviews
    • Conceptual Papers
  3. Submitted manuscripts must align with the journal’s focus and scope, including but not limited to social sciences, humanities, culture, education, law, economics, communication, psychology, religious studies, and related fields.
  4. Manuscripts may be written in either English or Bahasa Indonesia.
  5. The manuscript must be free from plagiarism, with a maximum similarity index of 25% (excluding references and properly cited quotations).

Manuscript Format

  1. Manuscript length should be between 5,000–9,000 words (excluding references).
  2. Manuscripts must be prepared using:
    • Font: Times New Roman
    • Font size: 12 pt
    • Line spacing: 1.5
    • Margin: 2.5 cm on all sides
    • Paper size: A4
  3. Accepted file formats:
    • .doc
    • .docx

Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should be organized as follows:

1. Title

The title should be concise, informative, and reflect the content of the manuscript, with a maximum of 20 words.

2. Author Information

Include:

  • Full name(s) without academic titles
  • Institutional affiliation
  • Corresponding email address
  • ORCID ID (optional)

3. Abstract

Abstracts must be written in English and Bahasa Indonesia, each consisting of 150–250 words containing:

  • Background
  • Objective
  • Method
  • Main findings
  • Conclusion

4. Keywords

Provide 3–5 relevant keywords.

5. Introduction

The introduction should include:

  • Research background
  • Research gap
  • Significance of the study
  • Research objectives

6. Methods

This section should explain:

  • Research design
  • Population/sample/informants
  • Data collection techniques
  • Data analysis methods

7. Results and Discussion

Present research findings followed by analysis and interpretation supported by relevant theories and previous studies.

8. Conclusion

State the main conclusions, implications, and recommendations.

9. Acknowledgments (Optional)

Include funding sources or acknowledgments to contributors, if applicable.

10. References

References must follow APA Style (7th Edition).

References Requirements

  1. A minimum of 15 references is required.
  2. At least 80% of references should come from primary sources, such as:
    • scholarly journals
    • conference proceedings
    • recent academic books
  3. References are recommended to be published within the last 10 years.

Authors are encouraged to use reference management software such as:

  • Mendeley
  • Zotero
  • EndNote

Review Process

  1. All submitted manuscripts will undergo:
    • Initial editorial screening
    • Plagiarism checking
    • Double-blind peer review
  2. The editorial board reserves the right to reject manuscripts that:
    • fall outside the journal scope
    • do not follow the journal template
    • exceed plagiarism limits
    • do not meet academic quality standards

Submission Process

Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s OJS platform after author registration.

Authors must complete all metadata fields, including:

  • Author names
  • Affiliations
  • Email addresses
  • Title
  • Abstract
  • Keywords
  • References

Publication Ethics

Authors must comply with publication ethics, including:

  • originality of work
  • proper authorship attribution
  • disclosure of conflicts of interest
  • research data integrity
