AUTHOR GUIDELINES

DEDIKASI: Jurnal Riset Pendidikan dan Pengabdian accepts manuscripts resulting from community service activities that are original, applicable, and provide a real contribution to improving community welfare and capacity. Manuscripts can be submitted by individuals or groups from academia, practitioners, community observers, and other institutions.


1. General Provisions

  • The manuscript must be the result of community service activities, not a pure research article or literature review.

  • The article must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere.

  • The manuscript must be written in proper and standard Indonesian. The language used should be clear, concise, and scientific.

  • All submitted manuscripts will undergo a double-blind peer review process.

  • Authors must follow the journal’s template provided by the editorial board.


2. Article Structure

Manuscripts should be structured as follows:

a. Title

  • Concise, clear, and reflects the core of the community service activity.

  • Maximum 16 words, without uncommon abbreviations.

b. Author Name(s) and Affiliation

  • Full name(s) without academic titles.

  • Include the institution and the corresponding author's email.

  • If more than one author, list them according to contribution.

c. Abstract (150–250 words)

  • Written in both Indonesian and English.

  • Includes background, purpose, methods, results, and impact of the activity.

  • Include 3–5 keywords.

d. Introduction

  • Explain the urgency of the activity, the problems faced by the community, as well as theoretical foundation and relevant literature.

  • Clearly state the objectives of the activity.

e. Implementation Method

  • Describe the location, time, target/partners, and the approach/method used (participatory, ABCD, PRA, etc.).

  • Explain the stages of implementation systematically.

f. Results and Discussion

  • Describe the achievements, successes, challenges, and solutions offered.

  • Discuss results with reference to related literature or similar practices (if relevant).

  • Present real impacts on the target community.

g. Conclusion and Recommendations

  • Summarize the main findings and benefits of the activity.

  • Provide suggestions or follow-ups for program sustainability.

h. Acknowledgements (if any)

  • Addressed to partners, funders, or other contributors.

i. References

  • Include at least 10 relevant (primary and recent) sources, such as journals, books, and previous activities.

  • Use APA Style (7th edition).

  • References should be managed using citation tools such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.


3. Writing Format Requirements

  • Manuscript length: 6–12 pages including figures and tables.

  • Font: Book Antiqua, 11 pt, 1.15 spacing, standard margins.

  • Submit in Microsoft Word format (.doc/.docx).

  • Tables and figures must be numbered, titled, and sourced (if adopted from other works).

  • Tables: max 7 columns; Figures: high resolution.


4. Plagiarism

  • All manuscripts will be screened using plagiarism checker software (Turnitin/iThenticate).

  • Maximum plagiarism tolerance: 25%. Manuscripts exceeding this limit will be returned for revision.


5. Publication Ethics

  • Authors are fully responsible for the content of their manuscript.

  • Any conflict of interest must be declared openly.

  • The editorial team reserves the right to edit manuscripts for clarity, language, and formatting without altering the substance.


6. Review Process

  • Manuscripts will undergo internal review (editorial screening) and external review (peer review).

  • Review outcomes: accepted, minor revision, major revision, or rejected.

  • Average review process duration: 4–8 weeks.


7. Manuscript Submission

  • Submit manuscripts via the Open Journal System (OJS) at [journal website address, if available].

  • Authors are expected to create an account and follow the system’s instructions.

8. Publication Fees

  • Normal Track: IDR 200,000

  • Fast Track: IDR 300,000

  • Withdrawal Fee (Post-Publication): IDR 500,000
    The fee is payable only after the manuscript has been accepted for publication.
